There are moments in history when the people must rise—not with pitchforks, but with purpose. Not to burn it all down, but to build something better. This is such a moment. And this is our call.

Welcome to the new online home of the Bull Moose Party of the USA—a movement for citizens who believe the American experiment is worth saving from the corrupt grip of a calcified two-party system. We are Democrats. We are Republicans. We are Independents. And many of us have been none of those things for years. What unites us is not an ideology. It’s an ideal.

We believe that government should belong to the people—not to corporate PACs, party elites, or political dynasties.

The original Bull Moose Party was born in 1912 when Theodore Roosevelt stood up to the forces that had hijacked the Republican Party for private gain. His fight then is our fight now. Our politics are poisoned by winner-take-all elections, gerrymandered districts, and campaign finance systems that reward loyalty to donors over duty to country. We’ve become so used to choosing the “lesser evil” that we’ve forgotten what it’s like to choose the greater good.

But we remember.

We remember what it feels like to believe in a candidate—not just as a placeholder, but as a person of courage. We remember working across differences in our neighborhoods and our communities. We remember that being a citizen means more than pulling a lever every four years. It means showing up, speaking out, and standing for something.

And we’re here to stand together.

Why Now? Because the Old System Is Rigged Against Change

Let’s be honest: the two-party system in America isn’t broken. It’s working exactly as it was designed—to maintain control, limit real choices, and lock out competition.

Think about it. In 2024, nearly half of voters said they didn’t feel represented by either major party. But when was the last time a third-party candidate had a fair shot in a presidential debate? When was the last time you saw ranked-choice voting on your ballot? Why are independent and minor party candidates forced to meet impossible ballot access thresholds while incumbents cruise to reelection?

This isn’t democracy. It’s duopoly.

We believe the only way to break this cycle is to organize outside of it—with the same digital tools, local leadership, and grassroots energy that have powered movements around the world. But we also believe we must do this with care, with discipline, and with a clear sense of who we are.

Who Are We? A Coalition of the Courageous

We are resurrecting the Bull Moose not to relive the past, but to renew the promise of American self-government. This is a movement built on:

  • Character, not cults. We value leaders who tell the truth, take responsibility, and earn trust. No more worshiping politicians like celebrities or strongmen.
  • Civic virtue, not partisanship. Our founders warned us of factionalism. It’s time to heed their wisdom and rebuild a politics of principle, not tribalism.
  • Community, not contempt. We reject the culture of outrage. We want to bring people together around shared values and practical solutions.
  • Courage, not conformity. The Bull Moose is a symbol of rugged determination. This won’t be easy—but nothing worth doing ever is.

This isn’t about nostalgia. It’s about renewal.

What Comes Next: Building a Movement State by State

We’re not here to win debates on X. We’re here to organize.

That starts by building state-level Bull Moose chapters via our Discord, run by everyday citizens like you. This website and our Discord server — The Bull Moose HUB — will be the digital headquarters of a decentralized movement. You’ll be able to:

  • Join or start a Bull Moose chapter in your state.
  • Connect with other reformers who want to pass open primaries, reform ballot access, adopt ranked-choice voting, end gerrymandering, or fight dark money in politics.
  • Participate in forums and discussions on issues that matter to you—with respect, not rage.
  • Share your skills and step into leadership. Whether you’re a designer, a data whiz, an event organizer, or a precinct captain, there’s a place for you here.

We will be launching our first Bull Moose Summit later this year—online and accessible to all. There, we’ll vote on our national principles, approve a party charter, and train a new generation of citizen leaders.

We’re Not Asking for Your Vote. We’re Asking for Your Voice.

The Bull Moose Party isn’t just a ballot line. It’s a banner—a standard for those who believe that American democracy must be reclaimed, reimagined, and rebuilt from the ground up.

This won’t happen overnight. And it won’t happen from the top down.

But it can happen. And it must.

The Bull Moose of 1912 believed in national parks, workers’ rights, campaign reform, and the direct election of senators. Many of their “radical” ideas are now part of the American mainstream. That’s what bold movements do—they drag the future into the present.

Now it’s our turn.

If you’re ready to build something real—not perfect, not partisan, but people-powered—then join us.

Together, we’ll charge again.
